  1. Nice straightforward presentation. Ok, I just gotta ask. My mentor, with the lack of enthusiasm for technology by our building leaders, slipped into minimal use of technology when her mentor left her side. Do you think your mentee would continue using tech without your support? What kind of support does your building leadership give? I only ask because I want to know. This subject makes me so curious.

  2. Honestly I'm unsure about the centers - I think she'll continue to use the ones she already has, maybe not as constantly as now, but she'll keep them. She has been pretty driven about the blog and posts a minimum of once a week on that. I'd like to see that become more of a classroom centered thing that is interactive for her kids, but she's just not there yet, and so it's a news letter, but it's still cool. Building leadership is supportive and principal gave a lot of kudos to teachers who started keeping class blogs this year. He'd like to make that mandatory for all teachers, and has also been talking about implementing some kind of CMS, but he has a pretty long to-do list, so maybe next year he'll tackle it. Right now over half of the teachers in the building - most of them secondary, maintain class sites or use Edmodo.

  4. I enjoyed your presentation. You images made it fun. I liked your project. It seems like you did a wonderful job mentoring. I really liked your mentoring logs. The apps you introduced your mentee to are the same ones that my son uses in his class. The students seem to really like them. You did a great job on your project.

  5. Tracie,

Great presentation! It looks like you had a positive impact on your mentee. The meeting log sound very useful. Did you create this? If not, where can I locate this? I am very interested in using something like this with my mentee (as I am still working with her). It really looks like it’s a solid structure to use while having meetings. Before this project, had you any background knowledge on different apps for the ipad? Or did you have to research all of them? Sounds like the apps are very useful, I may attempt to use it with in my classroom. Thank you!
